Grow

You either STRETCH, or you SHRINK!  That is a truism in physical growth and in spiritual growth.
Teaching is a major focus of the ministry of Hamlin Assembly.  We encourage each believer to find their purpose in God's Kingdom through training and developing a strong personal faith.  We believe that every Christian ultimately, is called to share the good news of Christ and we work to facilitate that call.

In addition to the teaching from the pulpit, Pastor David often brings in Ten Minute Teachings on specific topics, such as tithing, baptism, membership and spiritual gifts.  Our churchtime programs for children introduce our children to the fundamentals of church and encourage a personal relationship with God.  We involve our children in corporate worship, using baptism and communion as opportunities to teach.

We are deliberate in planning opportunities for people to grow at every age and at every stage of maturity.  Beginning with TREK Connect at 10:00 am, we ensure that our children are receiving a well-rounded Biblical education, covering material from Genesis through Revelation.  At Junior and Senior High, our focus shifts to apply Biblical principles to real life, finding identity in Christ and  and decision-making.  We investigate Biblical theology -- the "why" of we believe it.  Adult Connect Groups are often centered on a book of the Bible as we learn to go deeper into the principles of Scripture.  For more information, check out our ministry pages.

Friday Family Night from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm offers our discipleship programs for Girls and Boys.  The Youth meet for a fun, games and usually a Biblically-based discussion of a relevant topic. Prayer & praise is open to all ages and often includes a teaching time too.  Come and join us for this relaxed evening that ends the work week and revitalizes our relationships.

Discovering Life is our seminar-style class schedule that is generally held once a quarter on first Sundays.  Check out our page for more information.

Grow -- Leader Development meets every third Sunday after church, with lunch.  We are currently exploring "Developing the Leader Within You" , a DVD based series by John Maxwell.
